Winter Maintenance Tips…
Diesel fuel solidifies in winter weather and you may experience inconvenient expensive engine shut-downs. Diesel fuel contains paraffin, similar to wax, and when the paraffin cools it solidifies and may plug fuel filters and choke your fuel system unless you take preventative steps.
Even in mild winter temperatures water in fuel can cause problems with ice formation in the filters. The requirement in North America is for diesel to be processed with lower sulfur content. Consequently, this affects the fuel chemistry to have higher concentrations of water, making it more likely for problems like this to occur.
Premium Fuel such as our “RoadForce® Premium Diesel Fuel” helps eliminate water from fuel tanks, and lowers the cold weather engine operability point. It also improves fuel economy, Cleans Injectors, and lowers exhaust emissions.
